The tech community is gearing up for one of its most anticipated events: the 21st HBL‑P@SHA ICT Awards, scheduled for September 19. For over two decades, these awards have been a catalyst for innovation, honoring the best minds in software, startups, exports, e-commerce, ITeS, and cross‑industry tech excellence. This year the event continues its tradition, recognizing impact across ten core categories and more than forty sub‑categories, welcoming entries from startups, large exporters, women entrepreneurs, students, and innovations across multiple sectors.

The awards process involves rigorous evaluation by a jury of internationally recognized experts. It offers both established and emerging players an opportunity to be acknowledged on a national platform, gain visibility, and compete globally. The winners and runner‑ups will go on to represent Pakistan at the Asia‑Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2025. Over the past five years IT exports in Pakistan have surged—from approximately USD 1.4 billion in FY20 to nearly USD 3.8 billion in FY25—fueling hopes that the industry can reach the national target of USD 15 billion by FY30. To turn this vision into reality, the tech community calls for consistent policy support: predictable tax regimes, simplified foreign exchange rules, and stable investment policies.
Federal leadership is also involved: the Federal Minister for IT & Telecom has confirmed attendance as Chief Guest to honor industry achievers. The event remains free to apply for—reflecting its widening inclusivity and commitment to recognizing excellence regardless of size or resources.
