‘Nayi Raah’ is Pakistan’s first industry-wide part-time work model designed to provide women with the flexibility to balance their professional and personal commitments. This initiative allows female professionals to contribute to the workforce without compromising their responsibilities at home, promoting a greater work-life balance.

In addition, Telenor Pakistan has partnered with Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to offer an exclusive scholarship for its Executive MBA and Master’s programs at the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB). This initiative is tailored to support female employees in advancing their leadership skills and professional development.

These initiatives align with the International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025 theme, ‘Accelerate Action,’ emphasizing the importance of driving impactful change for gender equality.

“Empowering women to lead, innovate, and succeed is key to driving meaningful progress,” said Areej Khan, Chief People Officer at Telenor Pakistan. “With ‘Nayi Raah’ and our Executive MBA sponsorship at LUMS, we are not just advocating for inclusion—we are taking action to create real opportunities for women to excel in their careers while maintaining a work-life balance.”

Telenor Pakistan has long been a leader in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), with initiatives such as ‘Naya Aghaaz’ and ‘Parvaaz’ aimed at increasing female workforce participation. The company also promotes economic empowerment through partnerships with Circle Women and the World Bank’s ‘Girls Learn, Women Earn’ initiative, expanding digital literacy and financial inclusion for women nationwide. Leadership programs like ‘EmpowHer for Today’ and ‘EmpowHer to Lead’ further equip women with the skills and mentorship needed to succeed in leadership roles.

With a strong commitment to gender diversity and career advancement, Telenor Pakistan continues to champion initiatives that accelerate progress toward a more equitable future.
