The inspection team reviewed the technical infrastructure, data collection methodologies, security protocols, and operational procedures at BoltLike’s facilities. BoltLike is a licensed service provider for TAM services, which play a crucial role in determining television ratings that influence advertising revenue and programming decisions across Pakistan’s broadcast industry. Ensuring the accuracy and impartiality of this data is vital for the health and fairness of the electronic media ecosystem.

PEMRA’s proactive monitoring aims to verify that all licensed TAM operators adhere to the prescribed technical standards and regulatory framework. These inspections help maintain confidence among broadcasters, advertisers, and the public in the reliability of the audience measurement system that underpins a significant portion of the media economy.

“PEMRA is committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency and technical compliance in the media measurement sector,” stated a PEMRA official. “Routine inspections of TAM facilities, such as today’s visit to BoltLike, are a core part of our regulatory duty to ensure that the viewership data shaping our media landscape is collected and processed with utmost accuracy and integrity.”

The authority will review the findings of the inspection as part of its continuous regulatory process.
