The collaboration falls under Meezan Bank’s corporate social responsibility platform, “Meezan Justuju”, and is designed to provide funded training opportunities in high-demand trades, enabling individuals to acquire industry-relevant skills and improve employability.

Under the agreement, DTI will identify priority skill areas, enrol eligible candidates and deliver competency-based, hands-on training programmes aligned with market needs. Meezan Bank will provide financial support while also facilitating financial inclusion initiatives for participants.

The partnership also incorporates elements of ethical and financial awareness, ensuring that trainees receive not only technical education but also value-based development. Both organisations will work together to monitor progress and create pathways toward employment and self-employment.

Officials from both sides emphasised that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between skills training and industry demand, ultimately helping individuals build sustainable livelihoods.

The collaboration reflects a growing focus on public-private partnerships in workforce development, particularly in equipping Pakistan’s youth with practical skills needed to compete in an evolving job market.
