The project has increased the Karachi plant’s annual production capacity from 5.05 million tons to 5.35 million tons, further strengthening Lucky Cement’s position as Pakistan’s largest cement manufacturer. The enhancement was achieved through process optimisation initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency without the need for a major greenfield expansion.

According to the company, the upgraded facility will enable it to better meet growing domestic and export demand while improving production efficiency and supporting long-term business growth. The capacity expansion also reflects Lucky Cement’s continued investment in modernising its manufacturing operations.

Lucky Cement has consistently invested in technology upgrades, energy efficiency and production optimisation to strengthen its competitiveness in the cement industry. The company operates manufacturing facilities across Pakistan and maintains a significant presence in international markets through overseas investments.

Industry analysts believe the additional capacity will help the company capitalise on rising demand from infrastructure development, housing projects and commercial construction, while enhancing its ability to serve export markets. Increased operational efficiency is also expected to contribute to improved productivity and cost optimisation.

The latest expansion underscores Lucky Cement’s commitment to sustainable growth and reinforces its leadership in Pakistan’s cement sector through continued investment in operational excellence and manufacturing capacity.
