Under the proposed collaboration, Plug and Play will work towards establishing operations in Islamabad and Karachi as future innovation hubs, providing global acceleration opportunities to 300 startups from Pakistan’s leading universities. Pakistani entrepreneurs will gain access to Plug and Play’s extensive global innovation network, connecting them with more than 600 multinational corporations for mentorship, investment, and international market access.
The partnership is expected to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and AI-driven growth while creating new pathways for startups to achieve product-market fit and expand internationally. Minister Ahsan Iqbal highlighted Pakistan’s competitive advantage in its young talent pool and cost-effective engineering workforce, emphasizing the government’s commitment to empowering young innovators and positioning Pakistan as a knowledge-driven, innovation-led economy.
This landmark collaboration builds on existing ties between Pakistan’s startup ecosystem and Plug and Play, as the company has previously partnered with the National Incubation Center Lahore as part of a consortium led by NETSOL Technologies.
