The new metallizer will enhance IPAK’s ability to manufacture premium metallised films used in food packaging, pharmaceuticals, personal care products and other industrial applications. These films offer superior barrier properties that improve product shelf life, protect against moisture and light, and enhance packaging quality for consumer goods.

According to the company, the expansion forms part of its long-term growth strategy focused on product innovation, export development and operational efficiency. The additional production capacity is expected to strengthen IPAK’s integrated manufacturing platform while enabling the company to meet increasing demand for specialised packaging materials in both local and international markets.

The investment follows a period of strong financial performance for IPAK, supported by higher capacity utilisation, improved operating efficiencies and growing export sales. Management believes continued investment in advanced manufacturing technologies will enhance competitiveness and create long-term value for shareholders.

Industry analysts believe the new metallizer will support Pakistan’s packaging sector by reducing dependence on imported value-added films while improving the country’s export potential. The project also reflects growing confidence in the domestic manufacturing sector and reinforces IPAK’s commitment to technological advancement and sustainable industrial growth.
