P&G Pakistan has achieved a major milestone in its ongoing pursuit of workplace inclusion, receiving the prestigious ‘Champion’ title at the 7th Annual OICCI Women Empowerment Awards and becoming one of the first two companies ever inducted into the OICCI Hall of Fame. The awards, hosted by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), highlight organizations leading the charge in promoting inclusive workplaces. With over 200 member companies from 35 countries and 14 sectors, OICCI serves as a significant platform for encouraging gender-balanced progress in Pakistan’s corporate sector.
“This dual recognition is a tremendous honor and a reflection of our consistent, values-driven journey,” said Ovais Yousuf, VP and CEO of P&G Pakistan. “With women comprising more than half of our senior leadership and key roles across all our sites, we are proving that inclusive workplaces are not only possible but powerful. We are grateful to OICCI for acknowledging our progress and encouraging us to continue challenging norms, removing barriers, and creating a world where everyone can thrive.”
At the core of P&G’s Equality & Inclusion strategy is its global initiative, #WeSeeEqual. The company has built a culture of intersectional equity by embedding inclusive practices in hiring, leadership development, and representation. P\&G also champions progressive parental leave policies, mental health support, and training to address unconscious bias and microaggressions, while actively nurturing Gen Z talent and adaptive leadership models.
Secretary General OICCI M. Abdul Aleem commended the achievement, saying, “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to P&G on winning the Champions Award at the 7th Women Empowerment Awards and their well-deserved induction into OICCI’s Hall of Fame. This recognition is a testament to P\&G’s commitment to gender equality and inclusive workplace practices. Their continued leadership sets a powerful example for the entire corporate sector.”
Outside the workplace, P&G’s impact extends to underserved communities through long-term partnerships with organizations like HOPE and Akhuwat Islamic Microfinance—supporting the education of over 20,000 girls and facilitating microloans for hundreds of women. The company is also helping bridge the STEM gender gap through mentorship of over 1,500 women via STEMconnector, and working with NOWPDP to include persons with disabilities in the workforce.
These achievements reaffirm P&G Pakistan’s leadership in corporate diversity and its pledge to advance equity at all levels of society. As the company continues to raise the bar for inclusion, its efforts stand as a business case—and moral imperative—for a more equal and empowered future.
