The launch comes amid rising global demand for cross-border e-commerce. While Pakistani SMEs have increasing access to international markets, inefficient logistics remain a major barrier. Alibaba.com’s new services are tailored to help local businesses overcome these challenges through a fully integrated logistics solution.
The company has partnered with leading international express delivery providers, including CPEX, to facilitate the export of Pakistani products to more than 200 countries and regions. The offering encompasses a full logistics chain—from packaging and warehousing to delivery—ensuring speed, safety, and cost-efficiency.
Key features of the service include:
- Transparent and competitive pricing: Exporters can access upfront, detailed quotes that include base freight, surcharges, and taxes, allowing for accurate cost planning and reduced order expenses.
- Smart, digitalized logistics: Through an AI-powered system, businesses can place and manage logistics orders online, receive instant quotations, and track the entire delivery process 24/7.
- Enhanced tracking and route optimization: An intelligent platform suggests the best shipping routes and enables real-time order tracking, enhancing communication between buyers and sellers and ensuring timely, efficient deliveries.
Ms. Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain at Alibaba.com, said that these services are vital to boosting the global competitiveness of Pakistani SMEs. “Online logistics services not only reduce costs and streamline operations, but also empower local businesses to reach global markets with speed and confidence,” she noted.
The platform’s impact is already visible through success stories such as Clush Industries, a garment manufacturer specializing in T-shirts, hoodies, and tracksuits. Since joining Alibaba.com in 2024, the company has grown its export business significantly, with 100% of its revenue now generated through the platform. It has expanded into major markets including the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.
Zulqarnain Baryar, CEO of Clush Industries, credited Alibaba.com’s logistics features for accelerating transactions and improving customer confidence. “With optimized shipping routes and comprehensive tracking, we’ve been able to streamline our operations and unlock new international business opportunities,” he said.
Berry Ma, Head of Pakistan Business at Alibaba.com, emphasized that the goal is to eliminate traditional trade barriers for Pakistani exporters. “We’re committed to equipping businesses with the tools and support they need to grow globally,” he said.
The rollout of these logistics services marks another step in Alibaba.com’s efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s position in global e-commerce and empower SMEs with scalable, tech-driven trade solutions.
