Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), one of Pakistan’s leading Islamic financial institutions, has officially launched the Karachi cohort of its transformative ‘Faysal Khud Mukhtar’ Internship Programme in collaboration with Circle Women Association. This initiative highlights FBL’s deep commitment to empowering women and promoting inclusive economic participation as part of its broader ESG and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) agenda.

Part of Circle’s flagship Work Readiness Programme, the internship is designed to equip young women from underserved communities with the tools and confidence they need to excel in professional environments. The Karachi cohort will see 25 young women undergo comprehensive training aimed at fostering essential workplace skills and real-world experience.
Following successful completion of the program, participants will be offered guaranteed internships at Faysal Bank—with many expected to transition into full-time roles within various departments of the bank.
Aligned with the State Bank of Pakistan’s Banking on Equality initiative, the program is a key driver of systemic change in increasing women’s representation in the banking and corporate sectors.
Launched in 2023, the ‘Faysal Khud Mukhtar’ Internship Programme has already demonstrated strong results. In its Lahore cohort, 46 women were trained, 42 secured internships, and more than half transitioned into formal employment—laying the groundwork for financial independence and long-term career growth.
The internship structure blends skill-building workshops, mentorship sessions, and departmental rotations, ensuring participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure. Faysal Bank aims to expand this initiative to other regions across Pakistan by partnering with community-based organizations and academic institutions to reach more deserving candidates.
