The week launched with a strong focus on road safety, headlined by a widely viewed awareness video featuring automotive expert Suneel Munj on PakWheels’ social media platforms. Munj also led an interactive in-person session at foodpanda’s Lahore office, offering practical advice and real-time engagement with the rider community. The collaboration with PakWheels is set to continue through digital campaigns promoting rider recruitment, safety, and motorbike product offerings.
A range of partners joined foodpanda to deliver impactful sessions and services. Atlas Honda hosted a specialized safety training session for over 50 riders, while WASL introduced easy bike upgrade plans through flexible installments. KAACIB provided essential bike maintenance to 50+ riders and partnered with foodpanda to deliver door-to-door services and home maintenance discounts tailored for delivery partners.
Additional support came from Action Oils, which distributed free engine oil and filters, and Qist Bazaar, which gifted over 50 AirPods and offered discounted installment plans for essential electronics, further easing financial access for riders. A three-day expo launched the partnership, generating over 100 leads and overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees. Over 2,000 reflective stickers were also distributed to improve rider visibility on the road.
“Our delivery partners are the heart of our operations,” said Ahsan Malik, Head of Logistics at foodpanda. “This week was about reaffirming our commitment to their well-being, creating an environment where they feel seen, respected, and supported—both on and off the road.”
foodpanda also collaborated with Karachi Traffic Police to host detailed road safety sessions, led by Trainer Inspector M. Sohail and DIG Traffic Syed Pir Muhammad Shah. Topics included traffic laws, defensive driving, and vehicle handling—all designed to enhance rider responsibility and safety.
Expanding the initiative beyond safety, foodpanda organized a two-day Health Camp at its Karachi Head Office. Over 100 riders, guards, and office staff received free health checkups and wellness kits from over 10 health partners including Chughtai Lab, PharmEvo, Sukoon, Haleon, Nutrifactor, Herbiotics, and One Health Labs.
The initiative reflects foodpanda’s commitment to holistic rider support—blending safety, wellness, and practical benefits into a cohesive program. As the platform continues to scale, initiatives like Rider Safety & Health Week are shaping a delivery ecosystem rooted in care, accountability, and empowerment.
