This expansion is set to significantly increase Lucky Cement’s output in Iraq, strengthening its presence in the local market. The company expects the added capacity to improve its market share by ensuring consistent cement supply across the region. Surplus clinker will be sold within Iraq, further supporting the company’s growth strategy in the Middle East.
A new cement grinding plant is also under development at NAS, with a production capacity of 0.65 MTPA. Lucky Cement stated that this facility is expected to be commissioned in the first half of FY26.
The combined projects will increase Lucky Cement’s consolidated production capacity to 21.48 million tons per annum. The company now operates major production facilities in Pakistan (Pezu and Karachi), Iraq (Samawah), and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
With this latest milestone, Lucky Cement continues to build on its global footprint while reinforcing its role as one of the region’s leading cement manufacturers.
