The MoU was signed by Nasruminallah Mian, Senior Programs Officer at ADB, and Syed Ali Abbas Hasani, Secretary General of P@SHA, marking the first formal collaboration between the two institutions. The partnership brings together ADB’s development expertise and P@SHA’s industry leadership to steer Pakistan toward a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready digital economy.

“This partnership is a catalyst for digital sovereignty. With ADB, we’re co-architecting innovation ecosystems that scale talent, embed equity, and power Pakistan’s leap into a resilient digital future,” said Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Chairman of P@SHA.

The multi-pronged collaboration will focus on:

  • Research on emerging technologies and digital public policy
  • Capacity-building programs such as advanced skills training, workshops, and leadership forums
  • Policy roundtables that bridge government, academia, and industry
  • Innovation platforms including national tech awards and startup empowerment initiatives

The MoU signing was attended by senior representatives from both organizations, including P@SHA’s leadership team—Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Dr. Sonia Saleem, Salman Dar, Secretary General Syed Ali Abbas Hasani, Laraib Farhat, Gulraiz Iqbal, and Khayam Abbasi—as well as high-level delegates from ADB.

Representing over 1,000 member organizations, P@SHA is Pakistan’s only nationally recognized IT industry association. With a mission to position Pakistan as a globally competitive digital economy, P@SHA continues to lead efforts in cross-border tech diplomacy, enabling policy frameworks, and public-private cooperation.

This strategic alliance with ADB reaffirms P@SHA’s role as a driving force behind Pakistan’s digital ascent and signals a new chapter of collaboration that promises innovation, inclusion, and economic resilience on a national scale.
