Since its founding in 2017, WEBDOC has revolutionized healthcare and micro-insurance access in Pakistan, offering AI-powered services across health, legal, crop, and livestock sectors. With over 65 million users and strategic integrations with all major telecom operators—including Ufone, Zong, Jazz, and Telenor—alongside fintech platforms such as easypaisa and JazzCash, WEBDOC has positioned itself as a leader in accessible and affordable digital services.
“When I founded WEBDOC nearly a decade ago, our business model was always deeply rooted in a people-first approach. Affordability and accessibility have remained at the core of everything we do. Securing the commercial license from the Dubai Health Authority is more than a regulatory milestone — it’s a testament to our ongoing commitment to deliver AI-driven, innovative healthcare solutions directly into the hands of everyday people, both in Pakistan and now in Dubai. Dubai marks an important chapter in our journey — one that opens doors to serving wider populations across the region and beyond,” said Asim Alam, CEO of WEBDOC.
The license approval builds on WEBDOC’s regional momentum, following its 2024 strategic partnership with Etisalat Afghanistan. With Dubai operations on the horizon, the company is set to enhance telehealth services in Pakistan through access to international doctors, while introducing state-of-the-art healthtech to underserved South Asian communities in the UAE. These services will be available in Urdu, Pashto, and Hindi—ensuring culturally relevant and inclusive care.
“Securing the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license marks a pivotal step in expanding Webdoc’s services to meet the healthcare needs of a diverse expatriate population. By integrating multi-language support—including Urdu, Hindi, Pashto, and Dari—into our platform, we aim to break communication barriers and offer personalized, culturally-relevant care to millions of South Asian and Afghan expats living in the UAE. Additionally, our customers in Pakistan will now have access to top-tier medical advice from experienced foreign doctors based in Dubai, bridging the gap between local and international healthcare expertise,” said Furqan Rasheed, COO of WEBDOC.
With this expansion, WEBDOC is poised to redefine global telehealth for South Asian populations, combining cutting-edge technology with a deeply human approach.
