As part of the collaboration, the ICTP-developed Smart ICTP app and Taxi Verification App will be promoted through the Yango Super App’s safety widget. This feature will provide users with seamless access to critical safety services, including direct communication with police during emergencies.

“We are proud to collaborate with ICTP on a shared vision for a safer, smarter Islamabad,” said Miral Sharif, Country Head of Yango Pakistan. “Through this integration, we’re not just enhancing the rider experience, but also empowering communities with access to real-time safety tools backed by law enforcement.”

The partnership also includes a public Information Campaign to educate citizens on using the apps effectively. Both tools are free of charge and designed to improve public trust by allowing quick taxi verification and more secure travel options in the capital.

The MoU was signed by SSP Dr. Muhammad Iqbal (PSP) on behalf of ICTP and Muhammad Jahangir Khan from Yango. It marks a milestone in public-private cooperation aimed at aligning cutting-edge technology with public security needs in Pakistan.

The agreement outlines a one-year collaboration period, renewable automatically, with no financial obligations for either party. Both organizations have committed to ethical standards, public service, and zero tolerance for corruption.

Yango’s partnership with ICTP reinforces its commitment to rider safety, responsible urban mobility, and community-centered innovation as it expands operations across Pakistan.
