Exceeding its assigned target of 310 training sessions, ZTBL conducted 320 awareness sessions during the fiscal year 2023-24. These sessions successfully engaged 10,414 individuals, including 5,281 women, helping expand access to financial knowledge in underserved communities.

The impact of these efforts translated into tangible financial inclusion results, with 9,351 new bank accounts opened by previously unbanked individuals who participated in the sessions. This achievement aligns with the broader national agenda to improve financial access and economic participation across the country.

Since July 2021, ZTBL has provided financial literacy training to over 37,000 individuals nationwide, playing a pivotal role in advancing SBP’s goals for inclusive financial growth. The bank’s consistent performance has earned it widespread recognition from the central bank.

In addition to this year’s Mega Performance Award, ZTBL previously received the Special Performance Award in 2023. Since 2018, the bank has been honored with a total of 17 awards, shields, and certificates of performance from SBP’s central and regional offices in Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

ZTBL continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment to financial literacy as a cornerstone for poverty reduction, economic development, and long-term financial stability in Pakistan.
