K-Electric has officially reappointed Syed Moonis Abdullah Alvi as its Chief Executive Officer, effective July 30, 2025. With over three decades of experience in the financial and energy sectors, Alvi is set to lead the organization into a new era of operational excellence and transformation.

Having first joined the company in 2008, Alvi has previously served in several key leadership roles including Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary, and Head of Treasury. He was first appointed as CEO in June 2018, during which he spearheaded several critical projects such as the development of a 900 MW RLNG-fired power plant and the rollout of digital and infrastructure upgrades across the utility’s operations.
K-Electric’s Board expressed confidence in his leadership, stating that Alvi’s return comes at a pivotal time as the company strengthens its commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable, and technology-driven energy solutions for Karachi.
