The event was held at Alkhidmat’s head office under the Quaideen Cluster, where orphan children and their families were invited to break their fast in a supportive and inclusive environment. The initiative aimed to bring joy and a sense of community to children who are part of the organisation’s orphan care programme.
Alkhidmat Foundation continues to play a significant role in supporting vulnerable communities across Pakistan. The organisation currently supports over 34,000 orphan children nationwide, including approximately 2,500 children in Karachi, through its comprehensive welfare programmes.
The iftar gathering highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in caring for orphaned children, especially during Ramadan, a time that emphasises compassion, generosity and social solidarity. Events like these not only provide immediate relief but also contribute to the emotional well-being and social inclusion of children and their families.
Through its ongoing orphan care initiatives, Alkhidmat aims to ensure that children receive access to essential services including education, healthcare and financial support, helping them lead stable and dignified lives.
The collaboration with corporate partners also reflects a growing trend of public-private cooperation in advancing social welfare efforts in Pakistan, particularly during key religious occasions such as Ramadan.
