Allied Bank Limited (ABL), UnionPay International (UPI), and Paysys Labs have entered a strategic partnership to revolutionize Pakistan’s digital payments landscape by launching tokenized Mobile Tap-and-Pay services for UPI-PayPak Co-Badge Debit Cards. This initiative brings enhanced security and convenience to ABL customers, enabling seamless, contactless payment experiences powered by cutting-edge tokenization technology.

As one of the country’s largest issuers of UPI-PayPak Co-Badge Debit Cards, Allied Bank will now offer its cardholders the ability to make secure Tap-and-Pay transactions through their mobile devices. Tokenization works by replacing sensitive cardholder data with unique digital tokens, offering a powerful layer of protection against fraud and unauthorized access during transactions.
The launch ceremony, held at the Paysys Labs Head Office in Karachi, was attended by senior executives from all three organizations, underscoring the significance of this collaboration for Pakistan’s rapidly evolving fintech ecosystem.
