The National Institute of Civil Aerospace Technology (NICAT) has launched applications for its 6th cohort, inviting startups focused on deep-tech innovation in aerospace, aviation, space, and defense to join Pakistan’s foremost incubator.
NICAT Cohort 6 seeks disruptive technologies that address critical challenges—autonomous drone navigation, advanced propulsion, satellite communications, avionics systems, remote sensing analytics, and flight safety solutions. The program offers selected startups access to world-class mentors, lab facilities, regulatory guidance, and early-stage funding. Over six months, participants will refine their prototypes, develop market strategies, and engage with industry stakeholders and regulators.
Previous cohorts have produced commercial ventures specializing in drone-delivered medical supplies, unmanned aerial systems for agriculture, avionics upgrade kits, and nano-satellite subsystems. With the aerospace sector’s growing complexity, NICAT aims to bridge the gap between research and industrial deployment.
Startups accepted into Cohort 6 can expect networking avenues with government agencies, defense institutions, private investors, and multinational corporations—including joint R&D, pilot trials, and procurement opportunities. NICAT also offers technical seminars, testing platforms, and business acceleration support to help ventures scale and export technology.
NICAT’s deep-tech incubator aligns with the national digitalization agenda and encourages self-sufficiency in aerospace capabilities. Applications are open until August 31, 2025, followed by deadlines, interviews, and cohort kick-off in October 2025.
Entrepreneurs interested in participating are urged to apply, join info sessions, or connect with NICAT’s outreach teams. Cohort 6 offers a pathways to transform Pakistan’s aerospace startup scene and drive high-impact technological advancement.
