“We are keen to deepen engagement with strategic partners like Gazprom to supplement Pakistan’s energy security and scale gas infrastructure,” said a senior energy official. The two companies explored avenues for joint ventures in upstream exploration and shared plans to develop pipelines, import routes, and resource mapping projects.
The collaboration aligns with Pakistan’s strategy to diversify its energy portfolio and attract foreign direct investment into the sector. With demand for gas rising steadily, partnerships with globally experienced companies like Gazprom are seen as essential to modernizing the country’s energy infrastructure.
By combining OGDCL’s local expertise and Gazprom’s international experience, both sides aim to create sustainable value chains and enhance technological cooperation, helping Pakistan secure affordable energy supplies and reduce dependence on costly imports.
