During GITEX Global 2025, PTCL Group and the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) unveiled the next phase of their Ba-Ikhtiar initiative, pledging to empower more than 2,300 additional women across Pakistan through digital skill training, entrepreneurial support, and market access. The program integrates internet connectivity, cloud infrastructure, mentorship, and small seed funding to promote women-led businesses in underserved communities.

“Ba-Ikhtiar is our commitment to bridging gender inequality through technology, opportunity, and agency,” said a PTCL executive. “By expanding the initiative, we help women gain tools, networks, and capabilities to lead local commerce and digital enterprise.” A PPAF representative added, “We believe women are key to resilient economies. Through Ba-Ikhtiar, we empower them with training, support, and access to markets.”
The expanded rollout covers high-impact districts in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, focusing on women entrepreneurs in e-commerce, handicrafts, digital services, and local retail. Participants receive training in digital marketing, financial literacy, product development, cloud tools, and business mentorship. PTCL will offer affordable data, hosting, and technical support, while PPAF facilitates access to micro-grants and resource networks.
At GITEX, the program was showcased through live demos, beneficiary stories, and partnership announcements with local NGOs and tech firms.
