Yango Ride Introduces New Safety Flow in Pakistan, Empowering Riders with Transparent Security Features

Yango Ride, the ride-hailing service by Yango Group, today rolled out a comprehensive update to its safety-flow features in Pakistan, placing rider security and transparency at the centre of every trip. Through the refreshed app experience, passengers will now see personalised safety checklists, real-time status of security measures during a ride and quick-access emergency support options. “Safety is our highest priority at Yango, and we believe it’s essential not only to implement robust safety measures and security technologies, but also to make them visible and transparent to every user,” said Miral Sharif, Country Manager for Yango Pakistan. “With our new personalised safety checklists and updates, passengers can now see exactly what we’re doing to protect them at every stage of their trip — from the moment they book to the end of the ride.”

The upgraded flow begins with a pre-trip checklist for riders that includes steps such as updating personal profile, adding trusted contacts, taking a selfie or verifying driver identity. During the ride, the app shows which safety protocols have been met, including driver licence verification, speed- and driving-style monitoring and integrated in-ride insurance coverage — each item clearly presented for passenger visibility. This level of transparency is designed to build trust in the ride-hailing experience, particularly as Pakistan’s urban mobility landscape grows and the expectations of app-based service deepen.

Beyond passenger rights, Yango’s upgrade also strengthens partner-driver accountability through automated monitoring and app-based warnings for unsafe driving behaviour. Through advanced sensors and analytics, the platform identifies sudden decelerations, route deviations or speeding, and triggers corrective alerts or service restrictions if thresholds are breached. With this launch, Yango seeks to re-define safety-norms in Pakistan’s ride-hailing market and reinforce its ambition to become the most trusted mobility-platform. The update will roll out gradually across major cities during Q4 2025, and Yango says it will continue to enhance features in collaboration with local regulators and user-feedback loops.
