The Shift
The new system eliminates physical challans and bank queues. Students now scan a unique Dynamic QR code—embedded with their ID, semester, and exact fee amount—using any Raast-compliant app. Payment settles instantly, and university records update automatically.

The Bottleneck Removed
Previously, students obtained printed challans, deposited fees at designated bank branches, and submitted manual proof to administration. The process caused long queues and delayed reconciliation, particularly during admission and exam periods.

The Numbers
While specific transaction volume targets were not disclosed, PU serves over 45,000 students across multiple campuses. The digitization directly impacts the entire student body, eliminating per-student manual processing costs and verification lag.

The Quote
“This is a blueprint we aim to replicate across other universities nationwide,” said Zeeshan Ali, Head of Zindigi at JS Bank.

The Bigger Picture
The partnership advances Raast adoption in Pakistan’s public sector. For Zindigi, it expands its institutional footprint. For PU, it delivers real-time reconciliation and a paperless campus framework.

The Bottom Line
One QR code just eliminated decades of paper challans.
