Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited (PABC), the country’s leading manufacturer of aluminium cans, has announced a strategic capital investment of Rs. 621 million to significantly expand its production capacity. This major investment is aimed at meeting the rapidly growing domestic and export demand from the beverage and brewing industry, supporting the rising consumption of canned drinks in Pakistan.

The investment will finance the installation of new, high-speed manufacturing lines, the upgrade of existing machinery, and the expansion of factory infrastructure. This capacity enhancement will enable PABC to increase its output of sustainable, lightweight aluminium cans, catering to major clients in the carbonated soft drink, juice, energy drink, and beer sectors. The expansion underscores the company’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market and its shift towards modern, recyclable packaging.
This move is expected to create new jobs, reduce the industry’s reliance on imported packaging, and strengthen the local supply chain for beverage manufacturers. It also aligns with global environmental trends by promoting the use of infinitely recyclable aluminium packaging.
“PABC’s Rs. 621 million investment is a direct response to the booming demand for canned beverages in Pakistan and the region,” stated the CEO of Pakistan Aluminium Beverage Cans Limited. “By expanding our capacity, we are not only growing our business but also empowering the entire beverage industry with a reliable, high-quality, and environmentally friendly local packaging solution.”
The expansion project is slated for completion by the end of 2025.
