Yango Pakistan has launched a new feature called Flex Mode within its Yango Pro app for partner drivers, marking a major shift in how ride-hailing work is structured in the country. The mode is designed specifically for drivers who prefer part-time, variable schedules — such as freelancers, students, or office-goers — and offers visibility over trip details and the freedom to choose rides that match their preferences.

“Flex Mode is a reflection of our promise to empower the societies we operate in,” said Miral Sharif, Country Head, Yango Pakistan. “Not everyone chooses this as a full-time opportunity, yet many people are looking for flexible, short-hour opportunities to earn an extra income. Flex Mode gives them just that: a simple, transparent, and reliable way to work on their terms without having a single worry of the world.” The feature allows partner drivers to view fare estimates and destination information before accepting a ride and to switch on and off availability at will, thereby reducing pressure of continuous engagement or penalty risk.
Yango says this addition complements its existing “Max” mode which focuses on full-time drivers seeking consistent earnings and bonuses. By combining both modes, Yango aims to build a more inclusive driver ecosystem — one where flexibility is valued alongside earnings potential. In a growing app-based economy, where people often look for supplementary income and digital work opportunities, Flex Mode provides an adaptable earning option.
With this initiative, Yango strengthens its position as a driver-friendly platform, reaffirms its focus on partner autonomy, and contributes to Pakistan’s evolving gig economy by offering more choice, transparency and opportunity.
