According to company officials, the network is fully compliant with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s IoT licensing framework and is hosted locally to ensure data privacy, security, and sovereignty. “This is a defining moment in our journey to build a truly digital Pakistan,” said Chaudhary Shahzad Rasheed, President Enterprise Solutions at Jazz.
“The launch of LoRaWAN is key to unlocking the immense potential of IoT — transforming how businesses operate and how communities thrive. By enabling seamless access to real-time data, Jazz is driving innovation that will shape the future of Pakistan.” Ali Akhtar, Founder & CEO of DynaSys Networks, added: “Our collaboration with Jazz brings together their nationwide digital reach and our IoT expertise to create a powerful platform for a smarter Pakistan.
We invite enterprises, institutions, and government bodies to join us in leveraging this technology to unlock growth, efficiency, and sustainability.” The new LoRaWAN deployment opens a gateway for low-power, long-range connectivity across use cases such as smart agriculture, environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and urban infrastructure management.
Analysts believe that this infrastructure will serve as the backbone for next-generation IoT deployments in Pakistan, bridging digital gaps in underserved areas and enabling scalable connectivity at minimal energy cost. By establishing the first city-wide LoRaWAN network, Jazz and DynaSys are signaling the start of a broader smart-city roadmap that will span additional regions, with the intention of replicating the model nationwide.
