Land Record Services See Fee Increase as PLRA Revises Charges

The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has implemented a revision in service charges for property record transactions, making land record services more expensive across the province. The updated fee structure applies to a range of services, including the issuance of property ownership documents (fard) and the attestation of mutations (transfer of ownership). The increase follows a decision by the PLRA board under the authority’s 2017 Act and is aimed at managing operational costs while potentially introducing express service options for urgent transactions.

Under the new pricing model, fees for expedited services such as urgent ‘fard’ issuance have been set at up to Rs. 1,500, while attestation of mutation through express counters may cost up to Rs. 5,000 . These charges are in addition to the existing base fees for property documents and Bank of Punjab collection charges . The fee hike coincides with broader adjustments to property registration costs in Punjab for the 2026 fiscal year, which include revised stamp duty rates and updated FBR advance tax slabs for filers and non-filers .
